Welcome to Clearo (accessible at www.clearo.io and preview.clearo.io), a productivity SaaS application owned and commercially operated by Bureau LLC, located in Sharjah Media City, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data. It also describes your rights under applicable privacy laws, including Federal Decree Law No. 45 of 2021 of the UAE ("PDPL").
1. Who We Are
Clearo is a digital productivity tool that helps users organize their personal information using AI. By signing up, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the collection and use of your data as described here.
2. Data We Collect
When you use Clearo, we collect the following types of information:
a) Personal Data
- •Your Google account email, name, and profile picture (via Google Sign-In)
- •Your manually entered location data (city and country, optional)
b) User-Generated Content
- •Entries such as tasks, notes, reminders, and events that you create
- •AI chat conversations within the app
- •Optional inputs to AI, such as raw thoughts or contextual prompts
c) Usage & Technical Data
- •App usage behavior (via PostHog Analytics)
- •IP address, browser type, device information (via Cloudflare and PostHog)
- •Time zone and session activity
d) Billing Data
- •Billing and payment details processed securely via Stripe (or future payment providers like Polar)
We do not collect sensitive personal data (e.g., biometric, health, or financial information).
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data for the following purposes:
- •To provide and maintain the core features of the Clearo app
- •To help AI models organize your entries and assist with productivity
- •To personalize your dashboard experience (e.g., local weather via OpenWeather)
- •To analyze app usage and improve performance (via PostHog)
- •To manage subscriptions and billing (via Stripe)
- •To send necessary emails (e.g., account alerts, confirmations) via Resend
We do not use your data to train AI models or for behavioral advertising.
4. Use of AI and Automated Processing
AI is a core part of Clearo. We use third-party language models (via Gemini, OpenRouter, Groq, and OpenAI) to:
- •Help interpret and organize your inputs
- •Label entries and assign metadata (e.g., type, due date)
- •Power AI chats for task assistance and entry management
Your data is sent only for processing, not training. These third parties do not retain or use your inputs to improve their models.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to analyze user behavior and improve Clearo. This includes:

- •Analytics cookies via PostHog
A cookie consent mechanism will soon be implemented for users in jurisdictions that require it. Until then, analytics tracking is applied automatically upon login.

We require all subprocessors to comply with industry security standards and to process data only as needed to deliver their services.
7. Data Retention
- •User accounts and content are retained until deleted.
- •If a user requests account deletion, we retain the account for 30 days, then permanently delete all associated data.
- •Analytics data (via PostHog) is retained for up to 1 year.
- •Emails sent via Resend are retained for logging and delivery history only.
8. Your Rights Under UAE PDPL
You have the following rights:
- •Access: View your personal data stored by Clearo
- •Correction: Update incorrect or incomplete information
- •Erasure: Delete your account and associated data
- •Objection: Restrict certain types of data processing
- •Withdrawal of Consent: Stop use of your data (which may require account deletion)

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including:
- •Encrypted database storage (Supabase)
- •Secure HTTPS traffic
- •Token-based authentication
- •Rate limits and abuse prevention

While no system is 100% secure, we do our best to protect your information against unauthorized access or misuse.
10. International Data Transfers
Clearo operates globally. Some of your data may be processed outside your home country by our third-party providers. When data is transferred across borders, we ensure appropriate security and contractual safeguards are in place.

Clearo is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that data has been collected from a child, we will delete it promptly.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Emirate of Sharjah and the Federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL). Disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration under UAE jurisdiction. Class action claims are expressly waived.
15. Abuse and Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse or violations of our terms. Rate limits and internal monitoring help prevent misuse.
